MAS Customers Gather for 2016 Users Conference

​​MAS, provider of one of the world's premier monitoring automation platforms, MASterMind, welcomed more than 80 leaders and decision makers of central station and third-party monitoring companies from across the globe for the 2016 MAS Users Conference at the Doubletree Hotel, on March 9, 2016, in Santa Ana, California. Held annually, the MAS Users Conference provided a stage for the MASterMind community to learn about upcoming products and features, as well as connect with other security industry professionals.

MAS General Manager Shin Voeks kicked off the general session by welcoming attendees and providing business updates on UTC. Voeks highlighted the global reach of the MASterMind platform, stating, "MASterMind is now in use in 42 countries across six continents around the world. Our global team of 70 plus members across California, Poland, and India engineering centers continue to take customer feedback and provide relevant and innovative solutions to the user community."

Engineering Manager Rick Denos discussed MASterMind integrations, interfaces, and trends in the industry, followed by guest speaker Mary Jo Lakhal, Senior Program Manager at West/Intrado, who gave an overview on location intelligence and spatial data. Steve Walker, Vice President of Customer Service at Stanley Security and current President of the Partnership for Priority Alarm Response (PPVAR) provided updates on the ongoing PPVAR initiative along with Larry Folsom, Co-founder of I-View Now and current Vice President of PPVAR. The general session wrapped up with Engineering Manager Mike Jelderda who updated attendees on the next generation platform, MASterMind EX and its new features.

In the latter part of the day, attendees were treated to complimentary training sessions that reviewed new features in MASterMind Monitoring, activity billing in MASterMind Business, and EX services including tools for using them, load testing results, and recent high-availability enhancements. Day one concluded with a session on leadership from Elizabeth McCormick, a decorated US Army Black Hawk pilot.

On day two, MAS welcomed attendees to the MAS home office in Costa Mesa, California. Attendees took the opportunity to meet with the team behind MASterMind and take part in additional product sessions where they explored the new combined environment of MASterMind EX and watched how Monitoring and Business features interacted, as well as live demos of the MASmobile suite of products.
